20 Time Closure

As 20 time comes to an end I can't help but feel happy about it. I basically abandoned my project admitting failure shortly after I presented. I have had trouble re-drawing my characters. Most of the time proportions are off and it doesn't look like them. While I am practicing I'm considering going into something else, I still want to work in the animation aspect, but I think I would like to do something like character design.

Exploring The Art Field

I found that there is this vast think called the art field. It is amazing to me how all of these jobs are so different yet so similar at the same time. Since I would like to at least work for an animation company I have decided that working anywhere in art would make me happy, but I would feel the happiest working with either my own designs/ characters, making comic books, or an animator/ storyboard artist. I fount that the art field is too vast which means that researching a job is very difficult because all of the jobs normally have similar names.

Never Give Up

Over my overall 20 Time experience I have found that if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. I am notorious for procrastination which makes me want to give up on assignments in school when I feel the stress of not having enough time to complete them. This is one of my motto's because I do attempt to start my homework a lot, but I get off track easily. I am now, from my 20 Time experiences, learning that keeping focused is easy and I constantly strive in homework to do so. 20 Time is helping me with that. I digress, but this is a really good thing to try. It is aplicable in just everything  anyone does.

Week of Presentation

As stated it's the week of the presentation and I am really nervous. So far I am working on a PowerPoint type slideshow type project and will afterwards show the animation that is either completely colored or has the black outlined (I can't decide which would look better).

Contacting the Authority

I emailed, through the contact form presented on the site for Dreamworks Animation Studios. I have not, as of yet, recieved any form of contact back to me. I asked questions such as: what colleges classes should I take? What college offers most if not all of those classes? Do I need a degree?
Do to the lack of contact, I now must find the answers to these questions via another site or studio. I am sure that there are plenty of both. Should they email me back I will post the email I sent and the response I got back.

Seeking Expert Advice

The company I decided to contact is Dreamworks Animation Studios. The way I figured it was that these are professionals who most likely know what I am going through. They will hopefully and probably understand the questions I have for them on the subject of working for an animation company.
As for contacting them I have decided that since there isn't a phone number listed that I can call, I will email them. There is a contact form on their site. My only fear is that, they won't read  the email sand not get back to me.

My passion is art, and I am going to warn you about that now. I want to work for an animation company. Maybe become an animator, storyboard artist, or maybe design characters. The point is: I want to do something of that sort. So, when the subject of the 20 Time Project was approached in my English Class I, of course, had no idea what I wanted to do, as far as I knew I wanted to do something fairly art related. In the end I chose finding out how to become an animator, a job I wish to pursue. I have decided that I will do a short animation and show the proccess to the finished product.
